All Walleye Weapons come completely assembled.

If you are using the Walleye Weapon and your fishing buddy is using a plain old jig, you will outfish him three to one. So for every Walleye he catches, you will catch three. Your fishing buddies will wonder how you became such a great fisherman since the last time you fished together.

Effective use of Walleye Weapons

Walleye Weapons are deadly when casting & retrieving, vertical jigging, and slow trolling.

Casting & Retrieving

Most effective in spring and summer. Position your boat in 8-15 feet of water and cast parallel to the shore line. Let your Weapon hit the bottom, and then take up the slack. Lift your rod tip up 2 feet, then lower it 2 feet, and take up the slack. Most strikes will occur when the Weapon falls as you take up the slack. "Set the hook on strikes." Continue jerking the lure back to the boat in this manner so the Weapon is always within 1 foot of the bottom.

Vertical Jigging

Most effective in spring and fall. Drop your Weapon to the bottom and then take up the slack with your rod parallel to the surface. Now lift your rod tip 1 foot, and then lower it back parallel to the water. Most strikes occur when the Weapon falls that 1 foot to the bottom. As you drift into deeper or shallower water, always keep the Weapon within 1 foot of the bottom.

Slow Trolling

Most effective in spring and summer. Extremely deadly when it is too windy to cast & retrieve. A great deal of my fishing is done in a solo canoe, so when it is too windy to cast & retrieve I toss out about 25 feet of line, put my rod in the Rod Sentry and paddle parallel to the shore line in 8-15 feet of water at a slow enough speed so the rod tip is continually throbbing up and down 1-2 inches. This means my Weapon is staying right down at the bottom where the walleyes are. The next thing you know your rod bends back double, and you reel in a walleye. Many times I have brought home supper using this method, and my buddies in a tandem boat came home empty handed.

REMEMBER, IF YOU DON'T KEEP YOUR WALLEYE WEAPON DOWN WITHIN ONE FOOT OF THE BOTTOM YOU WON'T NEED A FILLET KNIFE, BOARD, SKILLET, GREASE, AND SHORE LUNCH BATTER!
